AI-Powered Features and Data Processing

Our Service includes AI-powered features that process your fitness data to provide personalized recommendations and guidance. This section explains how your data is used by these features.

On-Device AI Processing (Set Predictions)

Our set prediction feature uses on-device AI to suggest optimal weights, repetitions, and intensity for your workouts:

  • Data Used: Historical workout data (sets, reps, weights, rest periods), wellness surveys (energy, mood, sleep, soreness, stress), bodyweight measurements, daily step counts, exercise metadata, and session timing
  • Processing Location: All prediction calculations occur locally on your device. Your workout data is not transmitted to external servers for prediction generation.
  • Data Retention: Prediction calibration settings are stored locally on your device and synced to your account for cross-device consistency

AI Assistant (Cloud-Based Processing)

The AI Assistant feature is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI and involves transmission of your data to external servers:

  • Data Transmitted: When you use the AI Assistant, the following data may be sent to Anthropic: workout history and performance data, body measurements and progress, exercise details and preferences, nutrition logs and dietary data, wellness survey responses, session feedback, and your conversation with the AI
  • Purpose: To provide personalized fitness guidance, answer questions about your training, help create workout programs, and analyze your progress
  • Third-Party Processing: Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy. We maintain data processing agreements with Anthropic that include confidentiality and security requirements
  • Data Retention by Anthropic: Anthropic may retain conversation data according to their data retention policies. We recommend reviewing Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy
  • Opt-Out: The AI Assistant is an optional feature. You can use the app without enabling this feature, and no data will be transmitted to Anthropic

Discord Bot

The Tracked Discord Bot provides AI-powered fitness assistance within Discord servers. When you interact with the bot, the following data processing occurs:

  • Data Collected: Your Discord user ID, linked Tracked account ID, message content when you @mention the bot, and images you attach. When you @mention the bot, up to 10 recent channel messages (including messages from other users) are also collected to provide conversational context.
  • Third-Party Processing: Channel messages and images collected during @mentions are transmitted to Anthropic (Claude AI) for processing. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy.
  • Data Retention: Conversation context is held in memory for up to 1 hour to support follow-up questions, after which it is automatically deleted. Channel messages are not permanently stored by Tracked beyond this window.
  • Slash Command Data: When you use slash commands (e.g., /exercises, /session, /steps, /nutrients), your linked Tracked account data is queried and displayed in Discord. This data is not stored separately by the bot.
  • Other Users' Data: When the bot is @mentioned, recent messages from other users in the channel may be included in the context sent to AI. Server administrators should inform members that AI processing occurs when the bot is mentioned.
  • Opt-Out: You can avoid AI processing of your messages by not @mentioning the bot. Slash commands do not send channel messages to AI. You can unlink your account at any time using the /unlink command.

Prediction Feedback Analysis

When you provide feedback on set predictions (thumbs up/down with optional comments):

  • Data Collected: Your feedback rating, optional text message, the predictions shown, exercise context, and historical performance summary
  • Processing: This feedback is sent to our servers where it may be analyzed using AI to determine calibration adjustments that improve future prediction accuracy
  • Purpose: To personalize predictions to your individual performance patterns and preferences

Your Control Over AI Features

  • AI Assistant: You can choose not to use the AI Assistant feature. When disabled, no data is sent to Anthropic.
  • Set Predictions: You can disable set predictions in your app settings. When disabled, no prediction data is collected or processed.
  • Feedback: Providing prediction feedback is optional. You can use predictions without submitting feedback.
  • Data Deletion: You can request deletion of all AI-related data, including prediction calibration and feedback history, by contacting privacy@tracked.gg
